North Texas Evidence-based Psychologist Placement Initiative (NTEPP) was an intensive 24-month effort from 2019-2021 that sought to redress disparities in access to behavioral health care across the region by (1) increasing our partnerships with clinics working in underserved areas, (2) increasing placement of doctoral level students completing practicum training in these clinics, (3) expanding the enrollment of doctoral students in clinical psychology, and (4) providing evidence-based, culturally-competent and interprofessional sequenced training, workshops, case conferences and field placement experiences.
It was principally funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), and augmented through a generous gift from the Lupe Murchison Foundation.
