Center for Psychosocial Health Disparities Research
The Center for Psychosocial Health Disparities Research (CPHDR) seeks to understand health disparities to promote psychosocial health. A primary focus is on the link between mental and physical health. This includes:
- Sponsoring cutting-edge research on causes and remedies
- Providing a forum for interdisciplinary scholarship
- Training undergraduates and graduate students to be rigorous researchers
- Leading regional and national partnerships focused on mission
- Coordinating community services in DFW and neighboring rural counties
- Attracting external funding to further the Center mission

The UNT Center for Psychosocial Health Disparities is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The UNT Center for Psychosocial Health Disparities maintains responsibility for programs and content. UNT Center for Psychosocial Health Disparities grievance procedures for any sponsored continuing education programming.
